The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has announced that it is initiating additional environmental monitoring and health risk assessments relating to lead, for locations in and around Lutana and nearby Eastern Shore locations, and Rosebery.

• We are sharing this information for your awareness and because our school/service is located near the sampling zone.  
• To support this work, we will be reinforcing handwashing practices for staff and our young people, which follows the Department of Health’s advice about the importance of regular handwashing as a key precaution. 
• We will also continue to follow advice for the use of our garden by making sure we are:
• peeling root crops like potatoes and carrots.
• washing vegetables and fruit well under running water. Throwing out the older and dirty outer leaves of salad vegetables.
